Who we are!
Anita and Mac Fannin, a couple who decided to leave behind their busy lives back East and start a new chapter in sunny Arizona.
After retiring from their respective careers of 40 years – Anita as a parts store manager and Mac as a mechanic shop owner – the Fannin’s knew it was time to pursue their dream of starting an animal rescue.
With their savings and determination, they packed up their belongings and headed to Arizona. Where they purchased a large piece of land to build their rescue center. The couple spent months researching and planning, making sure every detail was perfect for the animals they would soon be welcoming into their care.
Anita with her organizational skills and years of managerial experience took charge of the administrative side of the rescue. Ensuring that paperwork was in order, volunteers were trained, and fundraising efforts were successful. Mac with his mechanical background used his handy skills to build shelters, repair fences, and create safe play areas for the animals.
Together, Anita and Mac worked tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate animals in need. From dogs, cats to horses, and even a few exotic animals, the Fannin’s took in any animal that needed their help. They provide medical care, shelter, and love to each and every animal. Giving them a second chance at a happy and healthy life.
Word quickly spread about the Fannin’s rescue efforts, and soon they were inundated with requests to take in more animals. Through donations, fundraising events, and support from the local community, Anita and Mac were able to expand their rescue center, allowing them to help even more animals in need, and fulling their passion.
Today, the Fannin’s rescue center is thriving, thanks to the hard work and dedication of volunteers along with Anita, and Mac. They continue to rescue animals, provide them with the care they need, and give them loving forever homes.
The couple's decision to retire to Arizona and start their rescue has not only changed the lives of countless animals but has also brought them a sense of fulfillment and purpose in their retirement years.
